Gaming to re-engage boys in learning

This TED Video provides some interesting insights into the educational experiences of boys, and some of the educational approaches to better engage boys in the learning process.

While the talk and statistics focus on the American experience, many of the perspectives and insights are no doubt of relevance for the Australian setting. 

Literacy tests and year 12 results across Australia consistently demonstrate that girls are adapting to the educational environment far more successfully than boys.  Indeed in most developed countries educational outcomes all follow this trend.
